Frequently Asked Questions

Do you offer a free consultation?

Yes, I offer a free 15-minute online consultation to explore whether counselling feels right for you and how we might work together.

Are sessions online or in person?

I offer both online sessions across the UK and in-person appointments in Bournemouth and Poole, Dorset, where appropriate.

What languages do you offer counselling in?

Counselling sessions are available in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin, supporting clients from diverse cultural backgrounds.

How does confidentiality work for children and young people?

Confidentiality is a key part of the therapeutic relationship. While I provide a private space for the child, I also work with parents to ensure the child's safety and wellbeing, within ethical guidelines.

What happens if there are safeguarding concerns?

Safety is paramount. If I am concerned about your safety or the safety of someone else, I may need to share information to help keep people safe. Wherever possible, I would explain this and discuss it with you first.

How quickly will you respond to enquiries?

I aim to respond to enquiries within 2–3 working days. If your enquiry relates to a child or young person, please include their age and a brief outline of the support you are seeking so I can respond appropriately.

Can parents contact you on behalf of their child?

Absolutely. I welcome enquiries from parents and guardians who are looking for support for their children and young people.
